Strangely, when I came across this image of a fingerprint, it prompted the thought that someone makes a mark in our life, or we make a mark in other people’s lives, often without knowing it; sometimes the full value of what occurred not surfacing until years later. Something arises that reminds us of words spoken or a small action taken long ago by a mentor, a friend or maybe just someone we met briefly. The words spoken at the time, or actions taken enhanced our knowledge or proved uplifting. Out of the blue, when we least expect it, those words or actions come back to us, the memory generating renewed confidence and a smile.
How little then, it really takes, for each of us to make a difference in someone’s life.
